Favorable change in intestinal microbiota
Dogs and pigs are both omnivores. Thus, the nutritional studies conducted on piglets are also applicable to the nutrition of dogs. Attached is a picture from a study that shows how favorably a mixture made from three different seaweeds affected the composition of the intestinal microbiome. Pay particular attention to the decrease in the number of streptococcus!
