How does Zoono destroy pathogens and provide protection?
Alcohol-free and silver-free Zoono is based on highly developed silicone polymer technology. It creates a mechanically functioning molecular film on the surfaces, which consists of biocide molecules forming a covalent bond (see photo/video above). Simply described, an antimicrobial "spiked film" is formed on the surface, the "spikes" of which are positively charged. The positive charge and the negatively charged molecular structure of harmful microorganisms attract each other and the "spikes" destroy the microorganism's cell wall and membrane, the organism is destroyed, but the protective membrane formed by Zoono continues to function and provides long-lasting protection. Zoono destroys an average of 99.9% of the most common pathogens.
